The search for the best browser goes on with Google joining the fray by a soft launch of the new Google Chrome last September 2. From what I read on it’s blog, Google said they designed a browser that is streamlined and simple. I downloaded and tried the browser yesterday and I have to say it’s true.

I have used a lot of Windows-based browser-Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Avant, Netscape, Flock, and even the China-made browser Maxthon (don’t ask me how I got it and where I use it…hehe). Right now I’m more comfortable with Firefox in terms of security, reliability and ease of use. But since I was intrigued by this Google Chrome, I decided to try it.

After downloading Google Chrome, I immediately went to Google website (which is the first website I open when I go online and not Yahoo or Friendster) but I noticed that address bar automatically gives suggestions for website that I can go to even though I haven’t gone to any website. Cool. There’s more, as I read more info about the browser, I found out that you can automatically search for any subject direct from the address bar. There’s a lot more cool stuff about Google chrome but they’re a bit technical. However you can read their comics-interpretation of how Google Chrome works (click Google Chrome Technology). The only thing I don’t like about is that it doesn’t look and act like a browser-which is actually what Google wanted.

To download the browser just click Google Chrome.

Enjoy browsing!
